This is the first blog post on our new website so maybe we should start with a little introduction.

We have been making games for some time already. Some of you may know Smartle, our daily word puzzle game. For Smartle, we created its own website and all the other things around it. And we really enjoyed doing that. But after some time, we realized that we are making more and more games and creating a separate website for every single one of them doesn’t make sense.

Most of our games are puzzles anyway. Logic puzzles, word puzzles, daily brain games, small games that make you think for a few minutes and hopefully make your day a little bit better. So we thought: yes, puzzles. That sounds like a good name for a place where people can play free puzzle games, no download, right in the browser.

And that is how Yes Puzzles started.

Why browser puzzle games?

We like games that are easy to open, easy to start and also easy to quit.

We don’t want to care about downloads, installations or complicated setups. Also, no need to register an account. All you need to do is select your puzzle and start playing immediately.

This is especially important for daily logic puzzle games. When a game becomes part of your morning coffee, lunch break, commute or evening routine, it should not ask too much from you. It should be there when you want it, work in your browser and give you a small challenge without turning into a big task.

That is the idea behind Yes Puzzles.

What kind of games will be on Yes Puzzles?

Honestly, whatever we write here for sure won’t happen. Just because life is so unpredictable. But we can plan, right? We want to be a home for the best puzzle games of all kings. Some will be word-based, others number-based (like Hex Sense), or more visual and strategic. We’ll have quick daily puzzles such as Smartle and Wordle alongside with some even more relaxing and some even more challenging games.

We like puzzles that are simple to understand and start playing right away but they still should make you stop and think. We truly believe that the best puzzle games do not need complicated rules. They need a clear idea, a fair challenge and that nice satisfying moment when everything clicks.

On Yes Puzzles, we want to collect games that feel like this.

But the main idea will stay simple: free daily puzzle games that you can play directly in your browser.

Daily word puzzles like Wordle and more different games

A lot of people discovered daily puzzles because of Wordle. This was also our inspiration to create Smartle. One puzzle per day is a great format. It is short, focused and gives you a reason to come back tomorrow.

We are not doctors or scientists and not even close to that field so we will not make big medical claims here. But we do believe that puzzle games are a nice way to keep your brain active. And scientific research supports that.

Our goal with Yes Puzzles

We want Yes Puzzles to become a small but useful portal for people who enjoy logic games. We will keep adding new games, improving old ones, and writing about what we are building. Just like we did with Smartle, we want to be open about the process. Some ideas will work. Some probably will not. But that is part of making games. And we plan to put all our progress here.
