Halloween Match

Halloween Match is a free Halloween puzzle match game where the player sends little spooky characters up a glass funnel and matches identical characters. The rules take no more than ten seconds to learn, but as the game progresses the levels get trickier and trickier.

Halloween Match is a game for people who like matching games, bubble games or just calm puzzle games that require a little bit of planning and strategy.

At the start of the level everything inside the funnel sits still. When a player taps a character (a bubble), it floats up towards the narrow neck of the funnel.

The neck’s width is one bubble wide, so whatever arrives there stacks in a single line. Two of the same characters stacked next to each other in that line pop and disappear. The only rule for items to pop is that they should be next to each other.

For example, if you send a pumpkin, then a ghost, then another pumpkin, then both pumpkins will stay where they are and will not disappear because the ghost is sitting between them. Usually there is still a possibility to win even in such a situation.

For example, if there are at least another two pumpkins and a ghost in the funnel, you can tap the pumpkin in the funnel to float it up to the pumpkin at the funnel neck and then when two pumpkins meet they will pop.

Then you can tap and float the ghost to pop the ghost, and then tap and float the second pumpkin.

Often the item that is needed to match a pair is stuck under two or three other bubbles, so the player has to work out which items to pop first and which are better not to touch because they might block the way. The level is lost when the funnel neck overflows.

How to Play

• Tap any bubble to send it floating up to the neck.
• Two of the same bubbles next to each other in the neck pop and disappear.
• Only neighbours match and pop.
• Pop every pair on the board to complete the level.
• Do not overflow the neck.

Collect 25 Halloween Characters

The player starts with three Halloween characters and discovers the rest as they play. There is a sugar skull, a moon cat, a bat, a mummy, a witch’s brew and a little werewolf among others. Every character appears in the winning picture, a Halloween castle that gets more elements and characters with each completed level. If a player taps on the character in the winning screen it will react and each character will react differently. It’s a small easter egg that we decided to include in the game.

Helpers

Helpful actions for when a level looks too hard or the player gets stuck:

• Shuffle All - rearranges every bubble on the board including the bubbles in the funnel neck.
• Extra Slot - opens one more space in the funnel neck.
• Undo - takes back the last move.
